BBC Red Button Streams for Summer 2022
As usual, the BBC will be launching some extra “Red Button” streams on satellite TV over the summer.
These “pop up” channels allow the BBC to show a bit more Sport over the summer months, including multiple Wimbledon courts.

BBC changes announced
The BBC is set to close some channels, merge some channels in a bid to save money, and to increase its online presence.
Its two news services, BBC News and BBC World News are set to merge.
There are also reports that BBC 4 will close as a broadcast channel. BBC 4 content will become only available via iPlayer. But for the last few months anyway BBC4 has become more of an archive channel already, with some content already been moved to BBC2. But this closure will not be for a few years.

Sky renew satellite carriage deal with SES Astra
Satellite operator SES has renewed its multi-year capacity deal with Sky UK.
According to SES, Sky has once again extended contracts to use a number of its satellite transponders, with the contracts extended until the end of 2028.
