From September 10, the channel will launch 'HD Western Week', involving films such as The Searchers, How the West Was Won and Rio Bravo.
That will be followed by 'HD Musicals Week' from September 17, showcasing favourites including The King and I, The Wizard of Oz and Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory.
Also celebrating the HD launch will be the Movies at 9pm programme, which will air a range of new acquisitions including Road to Perdition, Phone Booth and Collateral Damage.
TV dramas Hell on Wheels and Deadwood will also now be shown on TCM in HD.
TCM has had a strong year in 2012, as month-on-month growth helped the network climb to become the third most-watched film network in the UK, behind Film4 and Sky Movies Premiere.
The channel has moved up from being the eighth most popular film channel in 2010 and now attracts four million viewers every month.
