BeIN Sports (MENA) to show all EPL 3pm kickoff from this weekend!

BeIN Sports (MENA) to show all EPL 3pm kickoff from this weekend!
The English Premier League and beIN SPORTS has announced today the reinstatements of LIVE broadcast for Saturday "18:00 Mecca time" games in the Middle East & North Africa effective Nov. 8th. beIN SPORTS, the Exclusive TV Rights holder of English Premier League (EPL) in the MENA region, has restricted the LIVE broadcasting of Saturday "18:00 Mecca time" games since Nov. 2013 due to piracy concerns in UK. Commenting on the announcement, Mr. Nasser Al-Khelaifi, Chairman-CEO, said: “We are delighted to resume LIVE broadcast of all Saturday "18:00 Mecca time" games on beIN SPORTS channels. The English Premier League is a primary property and we are very happy to bring back this weekend excitement to our millions of subscribers in the region.” English Premier League CEO, Richard Scudamore added: “beIN SPORTS strong Anti-piracy measures have proved to be successful and we are very happy to work hand in hand with broadcasters to address the issue on a more global scale.”
BeIN Sport have the rights to show all 380 Premier League games live.

But last season, the Premier League were concerned over piracy, they limited BeIN Sports to just one 3pm Saturday kick off.

To over come this, BeIN SPorts "went secure" - meaning their viewing cards could only be used in their official receiver. This, it was hoped would mean that all 3pm kick offs would return.

The Bein Website was updated to say that they would be showing all 380 games live. And even Richard Keys said on his twitter page in July that they would show all games live.

Premier League Live Matches: Sky Sports scores big against BT Sport

BSkyB has muscled out challenger BT Sports to secure key matches at the start of the Premier League season, including Manchester United's clashes with other top teams, José Mourinho's first fixture back at Chelsea and Manuel Pellegrini's first game in charge of Manchester City.

The first round of televised Premier League fixtures published on Thursday reveal that Sky Sports has focused its efforts on keeping out BT from Manchester United's top matches, which attract the biggest football audiences, including the Manchester derby.

BT's top matches in the opening weeks of the 2013/14 season are the London derby clash between Tottenham Hotspur and Chelsea and Everton versus Liverpool in the Merseyside derby.

Sky have exercised their right to first refusal in the first rounds of the season. They also say they will screen every meeting between last year's top four.

Although BT have the rights for 18 first choice matches, Sky have been ruthless in their ability to tell them when these will be.

However, while Sky has plucked the pick of the top Premier League games until December, BT could have a strong end to the season, as it has only exercised five of its 18 first picks, leaving with it with 13 first picks at the business end of the season. Sky has exercised eight of its 20 picks, leaving it with 12.

But the contrast in the early games is marked, with BT's first game of the season Liverpool v Stoke, while Sky is airing David Moye's much-anticpiated first game in charge of Manchester United in a free-to-air live broadcast, in an effort to get one over on BT, which has spent £738m over three years securing the rights to 38 live matches a season. Sky paid £2.3bn for 116 matches per season.

Sky is also showing every fixture between last season's top four clubs and will have shown a live match featuring every Premier League team at least once by 6 October.

But BT does have some prize games in the first half of the season, including Tottenham v Manchester United.

Premier League in your home for free for first time in 20 years as ESPN air Manchester City v Fulham on Freeview

Fans will be able to watch a Barclays Premier League match for free for the first time ever next month.

Broadcaster ESPN have announced that their flagship channel will be free-to-view over the weekend starting Friday, February 3.

As a result, people who just have basic Freeview, of which there around 10m in the United Kingdom, will be able to watch Fulham's trip to Manchester City on Saturday, February 4.

This will be the first time that a Premier League match has been made available for free.

Viewers will also be able to watch matches from Serie A and the Bundesliga, while basketball, tennis and UFC will also be screened during the four-day period.

"Millions of UK fans have already discovered the great range of great sport ESPN offers – from the Barclays Premier League to Serie A, to cricket, darts, motorsports and UFC," said ESPN vice president Jeroen Oerlemans.

"This is a great opportunity for us to introduce that to millions more and let them sample the programming ESPN has on offer."

Nokia's new Lumia smart phone will sponsor the weekend.

Canal + Football HD on Spains satellite Tv

High Definition is growing day by day in Digital +, Spain Pay TV satellite operator

From today, the platform incorporates Canal + Football HD, a new way to watch the best football in the world in detail, with the clarity and sound that High Definition television technology can offer.

With the addition of CANAL + Football HD, Digital + HD has now 15 channels of all genres, such as Canal +, Eurosport, Fox, AXN, National Geographic , Disney, and MTV.

Digital + has a special section within the Electronic Programme Guide (EPG) for the HD channels (from 110 to 124 of the platform).

This HD selection will continue to grow and is designed to provide its viewers with more convenient access to the best content from television and the best quality picture and sound.

The proposed new HD Canal + Fútbol priority is a weekly live broadcasts. Highlights of Canal + HD football matches include three major championships from Continental Football League: English Premier League, the Italian Calcio and the Bundesliga.

Along with matches from these leagues, Canal + HD Football will also show games from what is today considered the best league in the world, La Liga Spanish football.
