BBC and Sky announce F1 coverage for 2015
Sky and BBC have revealed their live coverage of Formula One races this year.
Sky will have exclusive live rights to 10 grands prix, including the season-opening Australian Grand Prix and the blue-ribband event in Monaco.
The BBC will be showing the British GP live. BBC will also broadcast four of the last six races live.

Sky Sports Darts - dedicated chanel for the PDC World Championships
Sky Sports will for the first time dedicate an entire channel to darts this Christmas.
Sky Sports 3 will become Sky Sports Darts at 6am on December 18 and be the home of darts until January 5.
Sky Sports Darts will launch on December 18 and offer viewers over 370 hours of programming, including live coverage of one sport’s most colourful events, the William Hill World Darts Championship.
The channel will offer 18 days of non-stop tungsten television, as the biggest names in arrows battle for the Sid Waddell Trophy in front of sell-out crowds at Alexandra Palace.
Phil ‘The Power’ Taylor, Adrian ‘Jackpot’ Lewis and defending champion ‘Mighty’ Michael van Gerwen will be amongst a field of 72 players from around the world, with every clash live on Sky Sports Darts.
As well as live coverage of the World Championship, Sky Sports Darts will screen a host of programmes and features including a fascinating documentary with reigning champion van Gerwen.

But last season, the Premier League were concerned over piracy, they limited BeIN Sports to just one 3pm Saturday kick off.
To over come this, BeIN SPorts "went secure" - meaning their viewing cards could only be used in their official receiver. This, it was hoped would mean that all 3pm kick offs would return.
The Bein Website was updated to say that they would be showing all 380 games live. And even Richard Keys said on his twitter page in July that they would show all games live.

Commenting on the announcement, Mr. Nasser Al-Khelaifi, Chairman-CEO, said: “We are delighted to resume LIVE broadcast of all Saturday "18:00 Mecca time" games on beIN SPORTS channels. According to reports, the FAPL are starting to limit which of the 3pm FA Premier League kick offs are made available to broadcasters.
For European broadcasters this has almost always been the case, since many of these services (Sky Italia, Sky Germany, Canal+) can also be receive via satellite in the UK.
However, it appears that this "3pm blackout" has now also been imposed on other non European broadcasters, including Al Jazeera Sports.
Could this be some "retaliation" by the FA PL on JSC, due to the JSC channels being available to many IPTV Internet TV systems, and that are used by some "pubs" in the UK??

It is the first time a grand prix has been held at the newly-built Circuit of the Americas, with many people eager to see how the drivers cope on a new track in what is the penultimate race of the 2012 season.
Only the Brazilian Grand Prix remains following this race, and events here could set up a fascinating finale in Sao Paulo.

The 2012 Formula One season continues this weekend with round 17 from India..
Red Bull’s Sebastian Vettel became the first man to win the inaugural race last year, taking the chequered flag in a comfortable victory – leading the entire race from pole position – with McLaren’s Jenson Button finishing second.
That marked the German’s eleventh race victory of 2011, and he is now seeking to win a third straight championship, which has not been achieved since compatriot Michael Schumacher did so a decade ago.
Ferrari’s two-time world-champion Fernando Alonso will be determined to stop him.

The 2012 Ryder Cup
The 39th Ryder Cup Matches will be held September 28–30, 2012, at the Medinah Country Club in Medinah, Illinois.
Europe will be the defending Cup holder, having defeated the USA by 14½ points to 13½ in the 2010 competition at Celtic Manor Resort, Wales.
The team captains will be Davis Love III for the USA and José MarÃa Olazábal for Europe.

The London 2012 Parade – Live on BBC, Channel 4, Sky News
Our Greatest Team are due to set out from Mansion House in the City at 1:30pm. They will travel along Queen Victoria Street and Cannon Street, passing by St Paul’s Cathedral, continuing along Fleet Street, past Aldwych and into The Strand, reaching Trafalgar Square at around 2:20pm.
The public will be able to watch the parade from Mansion House to Trafalgar Square – where two giant screens will be located, with live commentary and views of the parade as it makes its way past the Square.
After passing Trafalgar Square the athletes will go through Admiralty Arch onto The Mall, travelling down to the Queen Victoria Memorial.
The list of confirmed athletes taking part includes Olympic gold medallists Mo Farah (athletics – float 1), Jessica Ennis (athletics – float 2), Greg Rutherford (athletics – float 3), Anthony Joshua (boxing – float 6), Ed McKeever (canoeing, float 6), Chris Hoy, Jason Kenny, Laura Trott, Victoria Pendleton (cycling, float 7), Charlotte Dujardin (equestrian, float 8), Katherine Grainger (rowing, float 14), Ben Ainslie (sailing, float 15), Peter Wilson (shooting, float 16), Alistair Brownlee (triathlon, float 20).

Sky Sports agree new three-year deal for NFL coverage
Sky Sports has struck a three-year renewal deal with the NFL which kicks off tomorrow with the Dallas Cowboys taking on the New York Giants.
The deal, which runs until the close of the 2014 season, includes 64 live games per season including three live games each week, playoff matches and the Super Bowl.
The agreement will see the partnership between Sky and the NFL run into its 20th year and follows recent rights renewal deals the broadcaster has struck with bodies including the Premier League, SPL, England and Wales Cricket Board and Rugby Football League.
Two live prime time fixtures will be shown every Sunday kicking off at 6pm and 9.15pm, three Thanksgiving Day clashes, plus regular matches on Thursday nights. There will also be live coverage of every wild card, divisional and Conference Championship playoff match and the annual season ending Super Bowl.
The NFL's RedZone score update show every Sunday of the regular season will be available via the red button, along with NFL Total Access twice a week and watch out for news of exciting new regular season midweek coverage as well.
Managing Director for the NFL UK Alistair Kirkwood said: "We are delighted to extend the relationship between the NFL and Sky Sports into its 20th year. Through Sky’s coverage the game has attracted many new fans in this country, and we look forward to another three seasons of excellent coverage.”
In total, over 60 games will be shown live, beginning with the season-opening clash between the Dallas Cowboys and the New York Giants on September 5.

La Vuelta Espana - Tour of Spain Cycling Race on TV
The 67th edition of the Tour of Spain - La Vuelta a Espana, in 2012 starts on Saturday August 18 to Sunday with the final stage in Madrid on September 9, 2012.
La Vuelta will start in the north of Spain in Pamplona and Madrid, and will have 21 stages over some 3,300 kilometers.
Breakdown of stages:
• 11 flat stages,
• 8 stages of middle and high mountain,
• 1 team time-trial stage.
• 1 individual time trial stage,

FA Premier League clamps down on illegal football streams
The Premier League has announced a clampdown on websites hosting illegal streams of matches.
Top-flight officials recently confirmed that 30,000 offending sites were put to an end during the last season, stamping out around 75 streams per match played.
Barclays Premier League officials enlisted the help of a company called NetResult, which scans the web for illegitimate streaming activity and blocks sites at the source, BBC News reports.
"If you want top quality football, it costs money," said a Premier League spokesperson. "It's not just about star performers getting paid well, it's about investment in facilities and youth development."
NetResult's Tim Cooper says that the firm aims to shut down around 80% of illegal streams, as eliminating them entirely has proved problematic.
"It is a case of 'whack-a-mole'. One disappears and another one comes back online," he said. "I'm sure people who've tried to view Premier League content have found that it's not the best experience.
"Streams can lag, they can be shut down, you have to find another one."
Critics of the Premier League's crackdown have pointed out that the governing body fails to provide a cost-effective means of watching all of their team's matches without subscribing to a service such as Sky.
A UK law has been passed meaning illegal downloaders could be sent warning letters and even have their broadband cut off.
Ofcom says it's not yet clear how that applies to streaming, and that no letters will be sent out until 2014.
The manager of one sports streaming site, based in the UK defended his site in an email comparing it to a search engine.
He wrote: "If a person walked up to me in the street and asked directions to Barclays Bank and then went there and robbed it, would that make me a co-conspirator in a bank robbery?
"In reality the person who is doing the streaming is the person who authorities should be chasing."
The Premier League agreed a £760 million a year deal with Sky, and another with BT for the 2013-2014 season earlier this year
