Default Transponder Frequency Changes - No satellite signal problems
If you use 12129 as the Default Transponder Frequency setting to help your Sky digibox boot up, then you may be finding this no longer works.
On the 31st May 2012, this frequency was no longer carrying any channels, with S4C moving from that frequency.
This means that this frequency is no longer able to help in booting a Sky box up.
So, if, for example after a power cut, you needed to use 12129 as the default transponder frequency on your Sky digibox in Spain then you will now need to use the new default transponder frequency setting.
You can use Frequency code of 12207 v 27.5 2/3 as the new the new default transponder frequency setting for Spain.

Euro 2012 on UK TV - BBC or ITV showing which games?
The 2012 UEFA European Football Championship, commonly referred to as Euro 2012, will be the 14th European Championship for national football teams sanctioned by UEFA. The final tournament will be hosted by Poland and Ukraine between 8 June and 1 July 2012. It is the first time that either nation has hosted the tournament.
Both the BBC and ITV will provide UK TV coverage of Euro 2012.
ITV1 will screen England's opening and final matches in the pool stage of Euro 2012 football championship, against France and Ukraine respectively, with the BBC bagging England's first two knockout matches – should they make it that far.
The BBC will also show England's second group game, against Sweden, as part of a deal that will split coverage of the 31 matches at the tournament next June between the two broadcasters.

Channel 4's 4seven catch-up channel to launch on July 4
Originally posted at www.satandpcguy.com/forum
Channel 4's bold new channel aimed at reinventing catch-up television will launch on all the main UK digital television platforms on July 4, it has been confirmed.
In March, Channel 4 chief executive David Abraham announced 4seven, a new network which will allow viewers to recap on the Channel 4 shows that have caused the most online "buzz" over the past seven days.
For example, active discussion around shows such as Big Fat Gypsy Weddings or US drama Homeland on social media, blogs and online forums would give those programmes another spin on 4seven.
The channel will launch across all major television platforms on July 4, Channel 4 has confirmed.
Channel numbers for Virgin Media and Freesat are not yet known, but it is thought that 4seven will launch at channel 47 on Freeview in post-digital switchover areas, and replace More4 +2 on Sky at position 269 on the EPG.
4seven was met with a decidedly mixed response from Digital Spy readers in March, with many saying that there are already enough ways to catch up on programmes after their live broadcast, including on-demand platform 4oD and personal video recorder (PVR) services, such as Sky+, Freeview+ and Virgin Media TiVo.
However, viewing via video on-demand, PVRs and other means only makes up a relatively small percentage of overall TV viewing, as the majority is still done live while the viewers are sat on the couch with the remote control.
Moreover, many viewers still claim that they are missing the major TV programmes, particularly older audiences, which is a real issue for broadcasters who have invested in the content.
4seven will ensure Channel 4 shows are given maximum chances to reach their audience, but the network is also about more closely integrating the online "buzz" around programmes with the broadcast networks, even incorporating this into the look and feel of 4seven.
Discussing the new approach to catch-up TV in March, David Abraham said: "It's a variation which we think goes with the grain of increased optionality but that combines the continued strengths of digital TV with the opportunities of social media.
"As such we hope that it will be an example of how the TV network will continue to adapt and evolve in order to survive in this most revolutionary of decades for media consumption."

Sony Movie Channel - on Sky channel 323 - new channel replaces Movie4Men2
Sony Movie Channel is due to launch on Sky channel 323.
The new Sony Movie Channel launches on 3rd May!
The channel will be the UK's newest home for contemporary movies from the 80s, 90s and 00s. You'll find Sony Movie Channel on Sky Channel 323 (+1 on 324).
Sony Movie Channel won't be part of the pay package on Sky but you'll need a Sky card to watch, on Channel 323.
So it will need a Sky "free to view" / "freesatfromsly" viewing card.
Sony Movie Channel will NOT be available on Freesat.
Movie4Men2 will no longer being broadcast, with its channel number being used for Sony Movie Channel.
However the best of both Movie4Men and Movie4Men2 will be shown on a single M4M channel.
Movie4Men will continue at Sky 325 and Freesat 304.
Also M4M +1 service at Sky 326 and Freesat 305.
There is no change to Men&Movies, it will remain on Freesat at 143.
Some people trying to watch Movie4Men2 on a non sky or non freesat box will find that this channels is now flagged as being encrypted and scrambled. Again, this is due to the fact that Movie4Men2 channel no longer operates and it has been replaced by the Sony Movie Channel.
