Sky Arts 1 and 2 to merge and become one channel

Sky is to consolidate its two arts channels into one from June.

The new combined Sky Arts channel will be moving to a new, higher position on Sky's channel list.

Sky Arts has confirmed that the changes will happen on 9th June 2015.

Sky boxes were mapped over to the new frequency at around midday today.

Food Network and CBS Reality change frequencies

Food Network and CBS Reality have become one of the latest free-to-air channels to change frequencies on satellite.

This is part of a recent shuffle around of services on satellite to make best use of capacity.
Users of Sky or Freesat satellite receivers should not have to do anything, as their receivers will automatically update to the new frequencies.

Users of non-Sky or Freesat satellite receivers must now retune in order to keep Food Network, Food Network+1 and CBS Reality.

Sky has added catch-up programming from ITV and Channel 5 to its Sky Go mobile platform for subscribers.

From today, Sky Go customers can catch up with the latest dramas unfolding between Chloe and Jake in ITVBe's "TOWIE". Fans of talent shows can keep up with the new series of Britain’s Got Talent and other top ITV shows.

Pay TV service HBO is threatening to cut off paying customers of its Now service if they are outside the US.

HBO has started to crack down on paying customers who access the HBO Now service from outside the United States.

Subscribers from countries including Canada, the UK, Germany and Australia who use VPNs and other unblocking tools are now being threatened with account terminations. HBO has sent emails to people around the world it has detected are using software tools to watch HBO Now shows.

Two new test channels have appeared on Astra 2F's UK beam.

These two test channels are on Astra 2F frequency : 11053 H DVB-S2/8PSK SR:23000, FEC: 3/4.

It is expected that these two test channels will become ITV2 HD and ITV4 HD.
